Speech/language pathology is a broad based program which provides individualized clinical and educational speech-language rehabilitative services to clients of all ages. A referral for speech therapy treatment should be made by the patient’s health care provider.
Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) provide evaluation and treatment of pediatric and adult populations for the following areas:
- Swallowing disorders (dysphagia)
- Feeding disorders
- Cognitive rehabilitation
- Voice disorders
- Hearing impaired (aural rehabilitation)
- Stuttering/cluttering (fluency disorders)
- Motor-speech disorders (verbal apraxia, dysarthria, etc.)
- Speech, language and developmental delays
- Expressive and receptive language deficits

- Modified barium swallow studies

- VitalStim Dysphagia Therapy (electrical-stimulation to treat swallowing disorders)
