Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp ground sage
  • ¼ tsp crushed fennel seed
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp rosemary
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the seasonings in a small bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Place raw turkey in a medium bowl. Mix the seasoning into the turkey until well combined. For best results, cover the meat and let sit in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight.
  3. When ready to cook, brown the meat in a skillet over medium heat. Stir frequently and break into crumbles until the meat is cooked through. Use sausage crumbles in breakfast burritos or other sausage dish.
