This spring, CHWC is offering two mindfulness courses led by Lorraine Hobbs, M.A., Director of Youth and Family Programs at U.C. San Diego Center for Mindfulness. Both courses are funded entirely by CHWC and are offered to those interested and able to commit to attending each class throughout the duration of the course.

Mindful Self-Compassion

Thursdays from March 22–May 17
6–8:30 p.m.
Plus a half-day retreat on Saturday, April 21 starting at 10 a.m.

Learn to cultivate a courageous attitude that stands up to harm, including the harm that we inflict on ourselves through self-criticism, self-denial or self-absorption.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Enhance awareness in everyday life by learning to apply mindfulness techniques in personal and professional settings, integrate mindfulness into social interactions, implementing mindfulness practices as a means to contending with acute pain, anxiety and distress, and more.
