Speech/language pathology is a broad based program which provides individualized clinical and educational speech-language rehabilitative services to clients of all ages. A referral for speech therapy treatment should be made by the patient’s health care provider.

Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) provide evaluation and treatment of pediatric and adult populations for the following areas:

  • Swallowing disorders (dysphagia)
  • Feeding disorders
  • Cognitive rehabilitation
  • Voice disorders
  • Hearing impaired (aural rehabilitation)
  • Stuttering/cluttering (fluency disorders)
  • Motor-speech disorders (verbal apraxia, dysarthria, etc.)
  • Speech, language and developmental delays
  • Expressive and receptive language deficits

 Specialty Services:

  • Videostroboscopy
  • Modified barium swallow studies

Certifications:

  • VitalStim Dysphagia Therapy (electrical-stimulation to treat swallowing disorders)
  • Deep pharyngeal neuromuscular stimulation (to treat swallowing disorders)
  • LSVT-LOUD (Voice therapy for Parkinson’s and related disorders)
