ACLS certified, specially trained nurses provide high quality care in our state of the art ICU. Critically ill adults are treated for a wide variety of reasons, including:
• Cardiac Cath Lab patients that receive an angioplasty or stent
• Critically high or low blood pressure
• Heart attack
• Heart failure management
• Life threatening heart rhythm abnormalities
• Respiratory failure requiring airway or ventilator management
• Post operative management (complex)
• Shock
Our nurses care for less complex patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring in our Telemetry Unit. Examples include:
• Cardiac catheterization nursing care
• Cardiac disease (non-critical)
• Non- life threatening heart rhythm abnormalities such as atrial fibrillation
• Pacemaker or ICD (implanted defibrillator) insertion care
• Post operative management (non-complex)
• Respiratory disease
• TIA
