The Imaging Department at CHWC- Bryan Hospital is now offering DEXA bone densitometry. This x-ray test is a bone density scan used to measure bone loss, helping physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. DEXA is commonly used to diagnose osteoporosis and other conditions that cause bone loss, as well as assessing a person’s risk for developing fractures.
